This is where I spend my time outside work.
This page is not about work. But the fact that I love cartoons that tell a whole story in one frame also explains my reflex on the product side: throw out everything unnecessary, leave the meaning.
I browse cartoons, I travel whenever I can, I play games, I watch series and films, and on match day I hand my heart to Fenerbahçe. I have also written why most of these are here.
One frame, one sharp joke
Instead of jokes that take paragraphs to tell, I like drawings that land in a single frame. The two artists I follow most are below — I do not host my favourite panels here, I link to the artists' own accounts; the credit should stay with them.
Çene
Telling the absurd with a straight face is my favourite style. There are five or six panels that made me stop and look again the first time — the joke arrives late, but it lands exactly.

Warmer; two or three of the panels he catches from everyday life are exactly my kind of thing. Humour that makes you laugh without raising its voice, the sort that makes you say "yes, exactly".

I want to see the places I find on a map
At home or abroad, it makes no difference: the only way to understand a city is to walk its streets. I travel with a backpack; rather than queue at a museum I would rather get lost in a neighbourhood — the best stories come from there.
Mecca and Medina
This is the most beautiful place I have seen — and not because of the view. There is a stillness there I have not met in any other city; your hurry stays outside the door. Everything in the list below sits under the heading "travel"; this one stands apart.
Countries I have visited
In most of them I did not stop at one city; going to a country and seeing only its capital feels unfinished to me. I have travelled a good part of Turkey as well — it is a little odd to talk about other countries before seeing your own.

The hours went up, the skill did not
A bit of everything, from competitive to story-driven. In team games I enjoy the communication; in single-player games, sinking into the world.
